Hi, I'm Brianna.
New York / Six World Majors in one year / 80 to 100 miles a week around a full time job

Two years ago I woke up and decided it would be fun to run all the World Marathon Majors in a year. Small problem: I didn't run.
I had never raced anything. Not a 5K, not a fun run, nothing. I did not know how long a marathon was. I signed up anyway, and then I found out.
I ran all six. Tokyo, Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago and New York, and I have the Six Star medal to show for it. Somewhere in the middle of that year running stopped being a bit and started being the thing I organize my life around.
I have a coach now. My marathon PR is 3:07. The plan is to go under 3 hours this fall and to hit the Olympic Trials qualifying time about 18 months from now. I run twice a day in New York, mostly before the city is awake and after work.
Why a fashion site
Because I was never going to look bad doing this. I put together about ten running outfits a week and I think about them more than I should. The matching, the hem length, whether the sock height is right for the short. A lot of people who are new to running want to look like they belong before they feel like they do, and I get that completely, because that was me.
The catch is that most running fashion content is written by people who don't say what size they wore, and most gear reviews are written by people who don't care what it looks like. This site is both. Every piece on here was worn by me, on a body with one set of measurements, and the size is stated. If you're my size you can just buy what fits me. If you're not, you can at least see how it sits on a real person and translate.
What's on here
- Fits. The weekly fits, with the run each one was for and the size of every piece.
- Functionality. How to fit as much shit as possible on your run, and whether you even need to. Pocket tops, pocket shorts, belts, music on your watch.
- Race Kit. What to race in, tried on across brands, so you can see your options in one place.
- Fuel. Every gel, chew and drink mix I've tried on real long runs, and whether it fits in a pocket without a belt.
- Shoes. My rotation, what each shoe is for, and what I'd race in.
- 0 to OTQ. The running part. Training, races, what my coach changed, what I got wrong.
How I review things
- I list the size I wore and my measurements are on one page so you can compare.
- Pocket tests use a real phone over 10 to 20 mile runs, and score how easy it is to get the phone in and out, whether you can fit more than a phone in the phone pocket, and whether it scratches or hurts any part of my body.
- Comparisons are worn in the same week on the same routes.
- Shoes get real miles before I write anything.
- Nobody sees a post before it goes up.
